There are a lot of cases like this that have been given new light after the end of the USSR - the Philby case comes to mind as another example, finding out what happened to Wallenberg is yet another. I hope with Putin’s recent crackdown historians are not kept from these materials or aging eye-witnesses.

I read through this, and they had evidence supporting both his guilt and innocence. Some from 1990s, some from earlier. Pretty good read, though. I don’t think he’s been exonerated, though.
