The perfect is the mortal enemy of the good enough. We need winners, and effective conservative representation, not 99 and 44/100 purity.  Both men give us that.  If Landry is that winner, fine; let’s go with him. If it’s Downer, then let’s get behind him.  Both men are better than their Democrat rival - that is the not-seeing-the-forest-for-the-trees missing focus here.  Quit with all of this who’s more conservative. The question is, who will better represent the will and values of the good people of the 3rd in Congress?

The idea that General Downer is not conservative is absurd.

Come now troll. You have said you’re a republican, who wish no more than the republican party to be cleaned up of all those who vote like dimocrats.  Yet in fact, those are the only republicans you support.

What I want is for the Republican party to be cleaned up of the extreme right wingers, for example the ones who don’t think General Downer is conservative.

Your claim of being a republican, for instance.. You say you are a republican, yet you support obama and his agenda..

I didn’t vote for Obama and won’t be voting for him in the future.  Quit making stuff up, what’s wrong with you, do you normally do that in real life or just on message boards?

You didn’t explain what you meant in saying “it makes a great difference”.  Please explain yourself.

Where Landry missed winning without a runoff by about 160 votes, it would take a major slip on Landry’s part for Downer to turn that around.  As long as Downer stays in the race, Landry should discourage and stay away from all this RHINO namecalling and other mudslinging.  It’s not necessary, and it makes him look petty.  But, for all we know, maybe that’s just his way.
