Very poor officiating on that last drive. We get called for a penalty while the Penn State players attempt to deny us the ball. The whole thing was a joke. The field conditions were horrid and the officials should never be allowed to work again in college football.

That being said, LSU’s ineffective offense in the first half was why we lost.

Miles has a lot of work to do.

Field conditions negatived much of LSU’s advantage in team speed.  Penn State was able to play their kind of game.

Oh, and CC, LSU can’t and should not fire Miles right now.  You don’t fire a coach who just 2 years ago won a NC and a Sugar Bowl the year before.  Some LSU fans need to come down to the reality that you’re not going to win the SEC Championship every year, and you’re not always going to have a Top 10 team.  There is such a thing as a re-building year.

You think USC should fire Pete Carrol?

We can’t afford to fire him but we should not because he’s still a good coach. The problem is that he’s paid a lot of money and we expect more than we are getting.

I do think the problem is on offense. Croten needs a good talking to. Not saying he should be fired but the offensive production is not what it should be considering the talent.

I’m disappointed in the season but look forward to recruiting and next year. Geaux Tigers!!!

Now I’m going to concentrate on pulling for the Saints.

Because LSU already had their answer at QB:

Ryan Perrilloux is a thug.  And you don’t just become a thug overnight.  You’re telling me the coaches had no clue he may be trouble?  Please.

Tim Tebow is both a good player and a good person.  Why can’t LSU find a combo like that?

I was being facetious CC.  Having a little fun with the emotions of a mourning LSU fan.

But you know, Tebow was in FU’s back yard and Perrilloux was in LSU’s back yard.  Had LSU lost Perrilloux to Texas, and he stayed out of trouble enough to have a great season as a starter, fans would have been demanding to know how LSU’s staff allowed such a talent from a River Parish to leave for a school out of state.

I agree with you about Tebow.  Great “kid”, and I hope he can prove alot of people wrong in the NFL.  But even if he can’t, that shouldn’t take away from anything he accomplished in college.

Matt Flynn and Matt Mauck were great leaders and had excellent character, but you know, sometimes the guys with minimal natural talent end up being the hardest workers, and sometimes, will lead a program to more success than an All American talent.

Oh, you got me, RC. (smiley)

And yes, I agree, sometimes character is more important.

Tebow’s got talent, and great character.. I think after some adjustment, he’ll do just fine in the NFL.

Glad to see you guys having a love fest over U of F and Tebow the perfect boy wonder.  However, that doesnt explain how a million dollar man lost control of his team.

Not failure I do not root against LSU. I merely point out facts about how a great amount of people follow the tigers blindly and unconditionally.  Nothing wrong with rooting for the home team etc.  I have rooted for the Saints since the day the ran the opening kick off for a touchdown in 1967.  I was listening to it on the radio.  I saw Dempsey kick the 63 yarder but I have never lost any sleep over a loss not even in my days of playing sports.  You win some you lose some.  I have express my views on collegiate sports vs academia on many occasions.  There are more stories in the Advocate about winning football games and gaining the hearts and minds of athletes than there are about improving our educational system.

Futhermore check out these grad rate stats.  Oh my is that LSU at the bottom AGAIN ?

Seems to me that at LSU it is more important to win than succeed.
