The Advocate practically said it was theirs to lose before they lost to Alabama and Ole Miss

I recall reading something about if they win out yaddah yaddah but that was before the only real team they had played was Florida.

Machs nix now you cant win a natl championship trying to ground the ball with 1 sec any way

The Advocate? ROTFLMAO.... not much a paper.  Most thought the Tigers would lose 2 or 3 games this year. No offense.... not sure what wishful thinking you’ve been reading.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

Sorry I cannot recall scripture and verse but I know I heard that kind of talk from different pundits when they still had one loss ( to florida) I knew once they started playing real teams the cards would come down.

Is there no end to your hatred of Louisiana former??  If you hate us that bad, do yourself and the rest of us a favor, go somewhere else.

Someone needs to take control of the offense. Miles has a history of poor clock management with 2 minutes left but Croten should know better. Of course if we don’t run two plays for big losses we kick a field goal and win.

Jefferson is not getting any better. Not sure why but I it looks like coaching. He doesn’t seem to have any game day instincts.

That is pretty much the bottom line Dan.  LSU starts out every year 4-0 5-0 against weaker teams and every one starts talking natl championship and then they start playing real teams (SEC) teams and start to unravel.  You dont see La Tech (which kept the game close) and USL on the schedules of year in year out power house teams.  USC, Ohio St, Oklahoma, Notre Dame.

An excellent point is made by Former here. I have been a long standing fan of replacing the intra-state games and other non-conference games with the likes of Texas A&M;, N Dame, Ohio State and FL State. Winning with a schedule that includes a tough SEC series and the occasional run of some of the aforementioned out of conference games provides the greater propensity to measure the Tigers far better than putting 40 points on Tulane and barely beating Auburn and a few other weak links in the SEC.

Miles continues to decline in his development of the LSU football players despite having the some of the best rated recruits in the nation come into the LSU program.

We have a coaching problem that can be fixed with a bit of time and patience and giving Les Miles a chance to turn the LSU program back into what it is capable of.

The bottom line is that LSU needs to defeat Arkansas Saturday and Miles needs to find a solution to the offense’s confusion. It doesn’t matter if you like or dislike Miles, we are stuck with him until his contract runs out in 4 or 5 years.

I listened to a little bit of the coaches show the other night, which is usually softball questions from adoring fans. Even the female callers were getting on his case pretty bad. Miles not only let down the fans but he’s let down his staff and especially the players. He should do better.

No question SEC is the toughest conference.  The point is LSU NEVER plays teams like USC Notre Dame Michigan etc etc unless it is a bowl game and sometimes as cheesy as the Indepence Bowl in S’ port.  I say if you think you are good then prove it and start playing some tough games.

Actually LSU tried to get a home and home with USC but they (USC) didn’t want to do it.

Ole Miss gets trounced by Miss State. Funny that MSU lost it’s number one passing QB and had to just run the ball.

Go to Hell Ole Miss!!! Go to Hell!!!
