No, I couldn’t listen to or watch either of those things.  These people are all feigning outrage.  They all love having something to yell about.

I’m NOT the famous governor, so please don’t write me for dispensations, annulments, pardons, exorcisms, speaking engagements, executive branch ethics exceptions, or creative budgeting techniques.  Just stay in school, learn some good Louisiana flat earth theory, some numerology, some astrology, lots of creationism, some fast talk, but absolutely no volcano monitoring, and one day you can be ... a good sensible Republican voter.  --Faux Bobby Jindal

In America today, we practice the politics of “perpetual outrage”.. Both parties practice it, the dimo’s are better at it.

Add to that the dimo’s constant use of “political correctness”.. Political correctness simply dictates to you what you can, and can’t say.. In other words, it is censorship.

Limbaugh specifically said Rep. Murtha is one of the “phony soldiers.”

Link please, lets hear it.

I don’t see how anyone can spend 4 minutes listening to this polarizing bluster and bs.

Also, he calls Paul Hackett, who served in the First Marine Division in Fallujah and Ramadi, a “staff puke” who went to Iraq to “pad his resume.”

Typical “smear-the-proponent-of-some-fact-you-don’t like” tactic that has worked well in the past.  If you define the term “patriot” as one who gives unwavering fealty to whomever is in charge, then anyone who criticizes the decider’s policy is automatically a traitor.  That is the a wedge tactic that fortunately only gets any traction on blowhard talk-radio and partisan message boards like this one.

If soldiers who actually served come home with their own opinions that differ from the ones that the administration would like all soldiers to have are “phony soldiers,” then what does that make Rush Limbaugh?

Obviously you can’t tell that Media Matters and Harry Reid are liars and that Rush was talking about phony solders ie Jesse Macbeth.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.” - Robert Heinlein
