Dear Mr. Downer,

I understand that Louisiana Public Broadcasting plans to hold a series of gubernatorial debates commencing September 27, and that only a very few candidates with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars will be allowed to partricipate.  L.P.B. is bought and paid for with Louisiana tax payers’ money, and all qualified candidates should be heard and allowed to participate in any such debate or debates.  Some suspect that any Executive Branch established and presided over by a Governor who is elected in such an exclusive State-sponsored election in which the State sponsors campaign debates that only the very rich candidates are allowed to participate in would constiturte a “rump” government that the people could not and should not put their confidence in.  ALL CANDIDATES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOUISIANA PUBLIC BROADCASTING DEBATES!

We would appreciate your looking into this matter and informing the public of what is going on concerning this matter.

With kindest regards, I am

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson
Candidate for Governor of LA

As a taxpayer, I also get a say in what goes on at LPB, according to your logic. And I say that I do not want to see you or any of the other no-names running for governor on my TV.

Tough!  We all are going to be on; at least the ones who want to be on.

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
Lake Charles
