Joe never said a discouraging word about the “champ”.  Not even when Ali called him a gorilla.  Joe took it all in stride.  He had a few good paydays but never got the respect he deserved.  Funny how someone who beats our guy gets us to turn on him and ridicule him.  EVEN THOUGH HE WON!! I always liked Joe.  Just like I like George Foreman.  He too, never said anything bad about Ali and turned defeat by Ali into a life devoted to the Lord.  I met him in Houston on a number of occasions in Houston, as we worked on a couple of projects together.  He’s made a fortune selling grills (instead of wearing them) and has had a good life.

And he has the respect. Not so with Joe. “Smokin Joe” caught Ali at his prime and never got the recognition.  As usual, they give you the respect when you are on the way to the grave.  I know his family loved him. Maybe you were a gorilla, Joe.  But one that made Ali say your name.  RIP.

If KR is not Socky Sockpuppet, I’d welcome it.  Here’s your chance to drop the act and tell us your real worldview and how you arrived at it.  Come on, KR, let’s get real! 

Perhaps I should play the sock-puppet game myself, to even things out.  Up the ante a little.  What shall my name be?  Depends Democrat?  I like the ring of that!  Wouldn’t take much research to look the part, just have to hold my nose and dive right in at Daily Kos or Democratic Underground.  Oh, cower in fear Left-wingers!  You have no idea what I’m capable of!

Also, I kept trying to post an image in a prior post, but kept getting rejected because is said the MIME type was not permitted.  What does that mean and how do I get around it?
